Je m'appelle Lihlyeh Alpha-D, plus connue sous le pseudonyme de Mata-Hari et je suis morte.

Je n'ai que de vagues connaissances de ce que fût notre monde avant la Grande Guerre et la paix avec les Machines, mais le Nexus entier est devenu un véritable enfer.
Corruptions à la pelle, Etats sécuritaires et ultra-policier, repressions et tortures en tout genre autorisées par le grand conseil des treize. C'est pour y échapper, pour passer au travers des mailles du filet que je me suis engagée dans la Surêté. Mais ce n'était pas un travail facile...
Les drogues, les différentes cybernisations que je me suis offerte...
Mon dieu, je ne me suis pas rendue compte de l'état de mes dettes.

Mes créanciers m'ont vendus aux enchères. J'ai été achetée par la Multi-Nationale Bankcroft&Hedge.
